It’s been a long while since I’ve updated my blog. I’ve been really busy with my internship and my master application. I’m working 6 days a week now and on sundays I pretty much always have some family related event and a hockeygame. It’s a pretty full schedule, that’s why I haven’t been very active on the blogging-thing.
Anyway, this is my latest bookreview for Hebban.nl, I will upload an english version of the review anytime soon for the non-dutch readers out there. Enjoy!
This is a total scoop guys! I’ve never done anything like this, because I’d like to say I’m not that shallow. (Yes yes, okay, I know I can be pretty shallow sometimes, but I will deny that fact until the end of my days). I’m talking Shallow Appearance Judgment. Right. ‘Don’t think of a big blue elephant?’ ‘Don’t judge a book by it’s cover?’ Then of course… I will do just that! Join me in this shameless Judging on Outer Appearances.
The last few weeks I’ve had a massive change in my life. It’s been three, almost four weeks since I started my internship at The House of Books in Amsterdam. From three months doing near to nothing, and not getting out of my bed before 10 o’clock, to working 6 days a week. But to be honest, I don’t think I have anything to complain about. I’m working with some really wonderful, kind and energetic people who love books as much as I do. I can get the experience I need to (hopefully) start my master at the University of Amsterdam next year and I can read books… for work!
What I also really like is that our company is pretty focused on social media and I’ve been asked to set up some websites and fanpages for some of our authors, what I really like to to do.
So now that the dust has settled for the most part, I will be posting more frequently, thank the sky above, and thus I won’t feel so bad for leaving the few followers I have to work or study in stead of reading some amazing and fantastic posts 😉
This is one of my Dutch bookreviews I write for Hebban.nl. Unfortunately, this book is originally written in Dutch so I don’t think I will write an english review for this particular book in the near future. I will however, translate some of my other reviews in english and upload them soon so non-dutch people can enjoy them too.
These are just some questions I came across and thought that it would be a nice way to tell something about myself. I might do another one of these later one. You’re very welcome to comment, give your own answers or using something like this on your own blog. I’d like to see those because I’m very curious myself and I’d like to know things to later on blackmail you with or to fuel my stalkermode.
I had talked about it for weeks and was very excited about it. My mum thought it was a great idea and so I ended up at the cinema at Friday night the 30th of January, waiting for the doors to open. I’m a big fan of Benedict Cumberbatch and I had finally found the time to go watch The Imitation Game, a movie for which he is nominated for an Oscar. This had to be good, right?
